You may be wondering about the reason for the title of my blog, "check the writing on the wall".

In a sense, history is being "written on the wall" throughout time. I started this blog to editorialize about that shadowy sort of writing that is always with us - the writing that we see and read - or that we ignore to our great peril... there was a king written about in the Old Testament of the Bible that did just that... he ignored it, to his demise. (Daniel 5:25-28)
